A U.S President Barack Obama’s first State of the Union Address was delivered yesterday night on January 27, 2010, at 9:00 p.m. EST at the White House. It was aired on all the major networks such as, BC, CBS, and NBC and many website on the internet. The event could also be seen on CNN Live as well as on the White House Website.
Obama’s speech length was under 60 minutes longer than previous State of the Union Address 2009. It was Obama’s first Union address, which he was presented the economy, tax credits, job creation and economic growth and setting, the bank bailout and among other points he addressed in his speech.
Obama says, “We cut taxes for first-time homebuyers. We cut taxes for parents trying to care for their children. We cut taxes for 8 million Americans paying for college.” According to reporter, Obama will propose a 6.2 percent increase in education spending over the previous year up to $4 billion. He will increased great unemployment benefits for 18 million Americans, 65 percent for cheaper families who get their coverage and passed 25 different tax cuts. He was also discussed about three years spending freeze to control the budget.
Obama also said that he couldn’t recognize “second place for the United States of America” and he wants safe, clean power plants in the U.S. The other officers also delivered their speech like the Vice President Joe Biden, the presiding officers of the Senate and the House of Representatives, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The speech was delivered on the floor of the United States House of Representatives in the United States Capitol.

Hi, great article. Well, the Obamacare bill is now law. We don’t yet know everything there is to know about it, but there’s one thing that’s certain is that it’s going to cost this country a lot of money. I own a small business and I’m worried about the new taxes. We all want to hire more employees, but this plan makes things very hard for us little guys. Here’s the question: If none of us are hiring, how can this economy get back on its feet?
