CEED is the Common Entrance Examination for Design, which is held by Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. CEED is a Qualifying examination for admission to Master of Design (M.Des) Programmes at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati and IIT Kanpur, and Ph.D. Programmes in design.
CEED 2010 application form is submitted online. Candidates can get applications form on the www.gate.iitb.ac.in site and submitted till last date (26th October, 2009) of the application. CEED 2010 Online Application form is available from 22nd September, 2009.
CEED Entrance tests based on the Candidate’s visual perception ability, drawing skills, design aptitude and communication skills. After qualifying in the entrance tests a candidates has to apply individually to each of the institutes for admission and every institutes will have separate interviews for admission to their courses.
Application Fee : Rs.950 (Rs.475 for SC/ST/PD applicants).

Education Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Architecture/ Design/ Interior Design, or equivalent.
- Professional Diploma in Design NID/CEPT, or equivalent.
- B.F.A. 4 year professional programme, after 10+2.
- G.D. Art 5 year programme after 10th with one year professional experience.
- Master’s degree in Arts / Science / Computer Applications.
Pattern of Examination
CEED Entrance exam will be 3 hours and it will be divided in two parts:
Part I:
- Visual Perception
- Creative Ability
Part II :
- Written Communication
- Ability to express precisely one’s thoughts on a given topic.
- Ability to comprehend a given passage in English and summarize it.
