GATE 2010 notification – Gate syllabus & Exam dates

Here you can get information about GATE 2010 Exam dates and Gate notifications. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2010) notification will be available on second week of September 2009. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all-India based examination. GATE will take for the entrance to post graduate programmes with MHRD and some other government scholarship/assistantship at engineering colleges/institutes in the country. The selection will be depended on the base of GATA result.

The Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordinating Board – GATE, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India are jointly administered and conducted GATE in eight zones across the country.

The GATE examination will remain of only paper of 3 hours duration, which includes 65 questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks. Only multiple choice objective questions will consist in the question paper. For the answer, each question will have four choices.

GATE – 2010 exam notification Dates:

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2010) notification will be available on September 2009. Application forms will be available from 22/09/2009 to 30/10/2009. But may be between 7th Feb 2010 and 14th Feb 2010, the GATE exam will be taking.

Important Dates of GATE-2010 Should are as below:

• Issue of Application form (Online/Offline) Sept 22 2009
• Last date of Issue of Application form Oct 20 2009 by post from GATE offices, Oct 28 at bank counters, Oct 30 at GATE counters
• Online Application Form Submission Oct 28 2009(6 p.m)
• Offline Application Form Submission Nov 03 2009
• Date Of Exam Feb14 2010
• Results March15 2010

Eligibility:

1. Bachelor degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.
2. Master degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.
3. Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master degree programme and Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology.

Syllabus for the GATE 2010

Availability Of Forms:

Application Form can be got on cash payment of Rs 1000/- (Rs 500/- for SC/ST/PD) from the designated Bank Branches corresponding to each zone (as given below).

Post from the zonal GATE offices, Candidates can also obtain Information Brochure and Application Form by Post. Application Form will be also obtained from the zonal GATE Offices after handing over Demand Draft for the appropriate amount.
