Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited was built in December 2006, under the companies Act 1956. Himachal Pradesh State Government (GoHP) and Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board (HPSEB) promote and organize the development of all aspects of hydro projects with the objective to plan in Himachal Pradesh. HPPCL is developing Power Generation for development and prosperity in Himachal Pradesh.

Assistant Engineer (Electrical):
- No of vacancies: 10 post (SC -01, OBC- 02, UR02, General- 05)
- Pay Scale : Rs.7750-14500
- Essential Qualification & Experience: B.Tech/B.E. (Electrical) with at least 60% marks
Assistant Engineer (Environment):
- No of vacancies: 2 post (UR- 01, General- 01)
- Pay Scale: Rs.7750-14500
- Essential Qualification & Experience: B.Tech/B.E. (Environment Engineering/ Environment Science) or BE(any subject) with 1 year PG Diploma in Environment engg./ Science.
A.O. (R&R):
- No of vacancies: 1 post (General- 01)
- Pay Scale : Rs.7750-14500
- Essential Qualification & Experience: BE in Rural Engineering or Equivalent.
- Age Limit: Between 18 to 45 years as on 14th December, 2009 with relaxation to reserved categories as per State Govt. rules.

Allowances:
Bachelor accommodation subject to availability in various Hydro Electric projects of HPPCL. Leased accommodation subject to availability in Shimla (Corporate Office). TA & DA will however be paid when on tour as per entitlement of equivalent post. HRA/ House Lease/ Medical Reimbursement/ Vehicle Allowance will be paid as per company rules for equivalent post in addition to this.
Personnels appointed in Kashang HEP except intake site of Kashang HEP, Shongtong- Karcham HEP can get upto 25% and Tidong-II HEP, intake site of Kashang HEP can get upto 50%, of the monthly salary extra as difficult area allowance or as decided by the Corporation/Board of Directors from time to time.

Demand Draft of Rs. 100/- for General Category and Rs. 25/- for Reserved Categories made in favour of Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited payable at any scheduled bank at Shimla.
Selection Process:
- Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their applications will be called for test/Interview.
- Candidates who have qualified from recognized institutions/ universities in India will only be considered/eligible.
- No TA/DA will be paid to attend the test/interview.
