Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Ropar, Punjab offers the recruitment of different vacancies. IIT Punjab / IIT Ropar / IIT Roopnagar is invited applications from Indian Nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) for recruitment on various posts of teaching staff.
To teaching for faculty positions in various Disciplines of interest to the Institute in the departments of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Humanities & Social Sciences.
The following regular positions in various Disciplines/ Departments:-
1. Professor: Pay Scale: – Rs. 18400-500-22400
2. Associate Professor: Pay Scale: – Rs. 16400-450-20000
3. Assistant Professor: Pay Scale: – Rs. 12000-420-18300
Education Qualification & Experience for IIT Jobs:
| Professor | Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 10 years experience of which atleast 5 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor. |
| Associate Professor | Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 8 years experience of which atleast 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor. |
| Assistant Professor | Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and atleast 3 years industrial/research/teaching experience. Preferably below 35 years of age. |
