Student Finance Direct facilities

1. Student Finance Direct service is a partnership between the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Student Loans Company (SLC), Local Authorities (LAs) and the Department for Education and Skills (DfES)
2. You can apply for a non-repayable Fee Grant and Course Grant to help pay for tuition fees and other costs related to your course, if you are studying a part-time Higher Education course
3. The Course Grant can help you to pay for other study costs such as books, materials and travel
4. Part-time students at Universities or colleges may also be able to get help from the Access to Learning Fund
5. To receive the maximum grant and loan available, you can register with their online service
6. You can login using the same details as before, if you applied online in the earlier period
7. You can submit your financial details online to support their application, if you are the parent, husband, wife or partner of a student
8. Student Finance Direct offer assistance to students and their sponsors throughout the duration of the course through the internet, telephone and the Local Authority.
