The story is about Krish and Ananya, who come from 2 diverse states of India. Krish is north Indian Punjabi boy and he is in love with Tamilian Brahmin girl Ananya. (Chetan Bhagat too is Punjabi and his wife is a South Indian.)
Krish and Ananya love each other very much and want to get married but their parents do not agree as love marriage in India is not that instant. After all in India, you do not marry the guy (or girl for that matter); you have to marry the whole family. To convert their love story into a love marriage, the couple has a tough battle in front of them. Krish and Ananya do not want to escape or be separated to their families; therefore, they choose to convince their parents for the marriage. Will they make it? His writing style is largely similar in all the first 3 novels though the novels progressively went on increasing. IIMA graduate is making India read like never before.
