The Atlantic City Air Show is full throttle today; it looks like a logistical nightmare. There are 500,000 to 600,000 people expected to descend upon the city for 2009 Atlantic air show. Atlantic City police and organizers of “Thunder over the Boardwalk” are working for crowds move efficiently.
The Atlantic City Airshow “Thunder over the Boardwalk” is on today, 11 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. It is known as Atlantic City’s signature summer event, and it cost about $1 million. According to Michael Bruckler, a spokesman for the Atlantic City Convention and Visitor’s Authority, most of amount comes from sponsors and donated services.
New Jersey Transit will operate additional service on the Atlantic City Rail Line to/from the Atlantic City Airshow on August 19, 2009. Due to expected high ridership, one additional train will operate in each direction. Customers are advised to allow extra travel time, purchase tickets in advance to avoid lines, and to travel light.
