Very shocking news reveled today at the internet. The 57 year old famous televangelist Benny Hinn’s wife Suzanne Harthern has filed for divorce paper in Orange County Superior Court on February 1st, 2010 in Southern California. The Benny Hinn and Suzanne married on August 4th, 1979 and they have four children. The actual divorce reason is unknown yet.
According to the Source, Pastor, Benny Hinn and his family were shocked and disappointed to learn this shocking news without any previous notice.
Currently, Benny Hinn has been living in Dana Point, a wealthy coastal community in southern Orange County. Benny Hinn Ministries is based in Grapevine, Texas, and operates a church and television studio in Aliso Viejo, in California. He is best known advocate of the prosperity gospel and also known one of the famous TV Christian programs “This is Your Day,” which is broadcasts worldwide TV networks, this television program seen everyday by millions of people around the world.
He is one of six televangelists under investigation by Republican Sen. Charles Grassley of Iowa. Benny Hinn Ministries supports to 60 Missions organization across the world and several Orphanages across the nations. Benny Hinn is also the author and he sold a number of best inspirational Christian books.

Pastor Benny hinn as been a blessing to me in particular through His inspirational teachings and writings why sould this be happening to a giant of faith… I know this is a trial of faith…. This is the time the Church need to arise and address the matter of this giant of faith in the place of prayer. “Satan! kai!” loose your hope, your ugly face and hands from the family of of this great giant of faith… Brethren remember no one is above being tempted… Pastor we are praying for the restoration of the Glory of God upon your family, I know it is well with you and the family….

It’s after all not something strange to see these kinds of comments from many of you here. First, I feel sorry for Benny that he’s to face such a situation and one cannot rejoice over a breaking family even if you don’t agree with someone’s doctrinal conviction and even if they were of another faith or atheist.
However, while many of you a sympathizing with Benny on the other hand you are demonizing his wife. Suzzana is now this women whom the devil has entered and is being used by the devil to destroy the life and testimony of this “man of God” as some of you would think of Benny – I don’t think so of him. Is the devil the reason behind all these? Perhaps but we shouldn’t be quick to conclude just based on the words of Benny’s testimony.
I think instead of blaming the devil and demonizing Benny’s wife, we should start looking at Benny’s own life as the husband not as a preacher. The two are different things i.e. just because Benny is a world admired preacher doesn’t make him an ideal husband and it could be that he’s not saying much about his role as husband and how he might have failed his wife.
A personal thing about Benny and why I think he isn’t a man of God. After receiving such a notice from his wife, Benny instead of quitting the public life and work on his family life insisted that he’d continue preaching and that nothing would hold him back. He takes this whole thing quite light and one would begin to suspect that he surely has to keep appearing in public because if he were to step down he’d be out of business within weeks. For him he’d rather keep his way of making a living rather than sacrifice everything in order to win back his family. Is there anything above a man’s family other than God? No ministry or preaching should in fact be taking place if a man’s family is shambles.
yes i agree with RATNAM . Look not only to the work that God has done through His servant . After God his wife should be second and then the Ministry and service to God.
So many gullible people leaving comments on here. You shouldn’t look to other people for your salvation or spiritual guidance anyway. Just believe in God and do right by Him.
The bible says, you cannot serve God and mammon, which is money. No doubt Br Hinn has done
remarkably well in bringing souls to Christ but the money/wealth thing is proving to undo all the
good work he has done. He should have followed Jesus’ example in this regard. In His ministry,
Jesus, who could have riden on chariots all over Palestine chose to do it on foot; besides, never
once did He ask those who came to listen to Him to donate money or food or clothes or material
of any sort. He could have but did not lead a palatial lifestyle. Modern-day evangelists still need to
learn this basic principle. Christianity is about winning souls, not acquiring wealth.
There is a need to pray as a church. On the move to crucify Christ, there came some women that were sharing sympathy with Christ. But his response was quit amusing when he ask them to sympasize with themselves and their families. Somewhere he went on to say that,” If it can be like this to flesh tree, how will it be onto the dry tree?” This calls for devotional prayer by the whole body of christ for God’s grace to whoever God is using mightly. Reason being, the more one becomes famous and devoted to being used of God, the more he becomes a target for the devil. However, I have a question, I’ve been close to some men that are so much committed to serving God but when I share with them so deeply only to realise that , one of the most challenges in their ministry are their wives. Should we say that scriptures are being fulfilled where the bible says that you enemy will from your own house? or Is it a generational curse right from the time of creation that through a woman, the devil corrupted the man’s mind so as to seduce him into sin? Let us consider Job when he faced the hard time of trial, remember his wife’s rebuking remark. Not only that, the devil also used a woman( Delilah) to tempt Samson.
Looking at Abraham, when angels spoke to him that he was to have a child, his wife, Sarah, just laughed. Coming to Uganda, many men that are used of God, have faced hard time with their lives. This is a call I am making to our wives, Always try to get into the calling upon your husband so that the world may understand the christ we preach. Benn Hinn I only say that, the one who called you into ministry knows you. Much as he lives he will never fosake you. Be courageous and move on with the Gospel. A big reward awaits From God.
I watch Benny Hinn’s programs, his books since 1992 and I am encouraged and blessed by his work of the Lord and teachings. Everyone bound to do mistakes, but let Jesus judge them, lets abstain from judging others.
Holy Spirit revealed to me in year 1998 that there are problems in his family life, his worldly desire (lust of the flesh), wife’s sickness, children running away from Jesus, etc. I need to convey this message to him and sent an e-mail to call me or contact me. I did not have his personal telephone number.
I do agree that this is the work of the devil who is a deceiver and he comes like a roaring lion to destroy God’s servants. I noticed those evangelists who do the deliverance ministry are targeted first by devil. I experienced it in my own life. As a Christian we need to resist the enemy and overcome the difficulties with unity in the family, oneness of husband & wife. Some posts say devil will not test children of God; Jesus himself was tested by satan after he completed 40 days fasting.
I request to Pastor Benny please find time for counseling with your wife & children, have an open house discussion, reconcile and heal the wounds in the past, confess, forgive each other and pray. I know due to you ignored Suzanne she is under depression and anxiety condition. Once she comes out of depression and anxiety everything will be alright.
I Benn wrote “you cannot serve God and mammon, which is money”, we need money to do the work, but not after money and wealth creation. I read Rattan’s comments which genuine and correct. Benny Hinn himself confessed in one of his article/ TV interview that he did not spent enough time with his family. Due to this his children had fallen, run after the world not following his footsteps; Suzanne could not manage the house alone.
Lets Pray for this servant of God to continue his job faithfully.

i have learnt with great shock the divorce of my mentor. this is the act of the devil which demands a wake up call to all Man of God. this is the time we need to seek the face of God through divine fellowship.
when a woman files for divorce, she has her comprehensible reasons, asides praying for Benny, friends should encourage him to create time for his private issues. being a christian is more than working miracles, a devout would definately face Perils, this is a peril, please face it, and conquer. if truly God loves us he sometimes treaten us with things that are so dear. he need you, more than the world do. mend the broken wall.

Women need to stay holy. It is not an excuse for televangelist to cheat, however with holy women I believe there would be less infidelity. Women / men need to think about the other’s wife or husband and family. Temptation is not a sin, however when the sin is committed the act hurts many people. Do not allow yourself to be in a vunerable position. If a televangelist cannot contain themselves they should step down and seek God for strength. Too many lives are involved. There appears to be too much admiration for these people. They are there to spread the word of God, not to become a god. Many dollars come out of the pockets of people who cannot afford contributions, but want to give for the work of God. I hope they can sleep at night if the money is not utilized in the proper way. No evangelist should be rich on God”s money. Thank You!
