American football Shawne Merriman has been arrested on Sunday September 6, 2009 for the accused of allegedly choking and restraining his MTV reality show hostess girlfriend Tila Tequila at his home.
Tila Tequila has signed a citizen’s arrest warrant and charging him with battery and false imprisonment on Sunday morning. This incident was happened around 3:45 a.m. to Merriman’s house in Poway, north of San Diego on Sunday. Some insider sources said that, Tila was trying to leave Merriman’s house early in the morning, but she never made it out the door, after Merriman chocked her and physically restraining her from leaving his home at San Diego.
According to the source, Tila was taken to the nearest hospital and she was not seriously hurt. And Shawne Merriman is currently in the San Diego Country jail. This would not be the first time he has been in trouble but he was also suspended from the NFL in 2006 season for the using of performance-enhancing drugs. There is not confirm yet if he will be suspended from this year’s NFL season.
