On a personal front this is one of the most favourite genre of gaming for me, the Arial combat genre gaming another enthusiast of the genre Namco Bandai has announced Ace Combat Assault Horizon for the PS3 and Xbox 360 as a 2011 release. The games of the series all take place in the same fictionalized world populated with fictional countries with details loosely based on real-life location, events, and wars. One of the main selling points of the series is the ability to pilot a range of aircraft that include accurate or slightly modified representations of present day military aircraft, prototypes that never saw actual battle, and completely fictional boss-type super weapons.
Longtime fans of the series are rewarded with small hints of the continuity between the games, as some characters and events are referenced from one game to another. Developed by veteran studio Project Aces it will include single and online multiplayer options. The design is looking similar to the Ace Combat 6 fires of liberation but if we listen to the developers the game is not a sequel to the above mentioned game it is a reboot. The released trailer video displays destructible buildings, helicopter combat and turret gunning sequences which indeed justifies the claim.

Namco Bandai confirmed single-player and online multiplayer options for Assault Horizon, but few other details were given about the latest effort from series developer Project Aces. A teaser trailer suggested the game will be a rebirth for the franchise, with one quickly glimpsed text message at the outset promising, “This one’s a game changer.”
The clip showed dogfights through downtown skyscrapers that jettisoned debris when struck with missiles, helicopter battles, and turret-gunning sequences. A new Ace Combat hasn’t been seen on consoles in nearly three years, the series has since appeared on the handheld radar a couple of times. Last year saw the debut of Ace Combat Xi: Skies of Incursion for the iPhone, while the PSP receives its second installment of the franchise, Ace Combat: Joint Assault, later this month. Today, the game was announced for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 title. A teaser not much of a trailer posted on Gamespot hints that this Ace Combat game will be a rebirth for the franchise.
The footage shown in the teaser shows a combination of gameplay from Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. and After Burner: Climax and possibly from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Footage shows a massive improvement of the standard AC physics engine, with a hostile Sukhoi fighter (presumed to be the Su-35BM due to it’s splinter paintwork) performing a Herbst maneuvre to evade the player, alongside a revamped destruction engine, as shown by debris coming out of battle-damaged structures.
Furthermore, the footage shows a helicopter raid in a Middle Eastern-like locations, with insurgents being killed by turret fire from said choppers, presumably indicating that the players will be able pilot/board helicopters, which is a major change in aircraft selection (like the inclusion of the World War II A6M Zero & F6F-5 Hellcat in Joint Assault).
I’m thrilled to hear the news of the launch of new Ace combat hope you are too. So, What are you waiting for go get your gaming boots on and starting practicing some Arial combat!.
