Nintendo is ready to launch its new version of 3DS known as Nintendo 3DS XL. This new version of 3DS has 90% larger screens. To compete with other rivals of the handy gaming world, Nintendo announced this new 3DS model at a Nintendo Direct broadcast held on June 21, 2012. It is announced that this new 3DS XL model will be available in the market of Europe around July 28, 2012 and in North America around August 19, 2012. The new system of this gaming pad will be presented with more entertaining features and variety of the games along with video objects already pre-loaded in the device. Previously, it was rumored that Nintendo 3DS XL will be revealed at E3 2012.

Biggest screen
The screen of 3DS XL is the glass-less 3D massive display that gives the pleasure of watching IMAX cinema in a pocket size device. The portable screen of Nintendo 3DS XL is larger and more enlightened compared to the original 3DS screen. The size of XL is two times larger than the 3DS. 3DS XL sports 4.88 inch auto-stereoscopic broader screen on the top and holds 4.18 inch touch screen at the bottom. The drawback of the device can be counted as the lack of the second thumb pad, but one can take a relaxing breath with the similar control configuration as present in 3DS. Nintendo announced that 3DS XL won’t be holding an AC adapter as they are willing to reduce the price of the device looking at the affordability of the consumers. The company assumes that the fans of DSi, DSi XL or 3DS who are already enjoying the games of these previous versions would be definitely equipped with adapter so they will not need another adapter. The adapter available with the previous models is compatible, so it will be applicable to 3DS XL. The 4GB memory card available with 3DS XL is helpful to the users for downloading many new Nintendo games that were formerly bought from the retail stores.
Color Editions and Price
Nintendo 3DS XL will be presented in different color variants including Silver, Blue and Red at the top, whereas the bottom screen will be enhanced with black color. The top panel looks really eye-catching with the nourishment of these colors. Exclusively, in Japan all the units of the device will be white. The news is in the air that Nintendo 3DS XL will step into the market along with New Super Mario Bros in North America on August 19 with the price tag of $199.99. In UK, it will cost around £179.99.
Other features
Company has decided to release two new pre-loaded games with 3DS XL. One is Nintendo’s DS art game that accompanies series of lessons and projects. Other is Freakyforms Deluxe Your Creations which is the pet game where one can generate their own creatures. The gaming device is instilled with camera capturing 3D images and videos efficiently and the most important feature for today’s generation i.e. Wi-Fi and internet browsing.
