Pokemon Platinum is the latest installment of the Generation IV Pokemon games. Pokemon Platinum has many unique features. One unique feature of Platinum is the new Battle Frontier. Pokemon has grown from the beloved red and blue games into the masterpiece of Platinum today, the graphics are astronomically better now than they once were, back in 1998.
Pokemon Platinum holds onto the epic feeling that players felt when working their way through the first installments more than 10 years ago. This is a remarkable game and definitely worth buying.
Acquiring Stars and Colors for your Trainer Card
The following tasks may be completed in any order, with no regard to a specific event relating to a particular color. Stars are added by the completion of each event.
- Defeat the Elite Four
- Win any one Master Rank Super Contest
- Win 100 consecutive battles in Battle Tower
- Earn a Platinum flag in the Underground (capture 50 flags)
- Capture all 493 Pokemon (not including event-only Pokemon)
These are the colors you earn from completing the above tasks:
Black Card – Earn Five Stars
Blue Card – Earn One Star
Bronze Card – Earn Two Stars
Gold Card – Earn Four Stars
Silver Card – Earn Three Stars
Capture Dialga And Palkia
Perform the Following steps before these Pokemon are yours:
- Get the eighth gym badge, and get the HM Waterfall.
- Go to Mount Coronet.
- Go up the waterfall, and into the secret cavern. (Just go up the mountain, you will notice the waterfall.)
- Get the two orbs that belong to Dialga and Palkia, they are inside the small cavern.
- Talk to the elder of Celestic Town.
- Go to Spear Pillar! (Very top of Mount Coronet where you found the Distortion World.)
- You will see a blue light. That’s DIALGA! (After you beat/catch Dialga, enter the Mount Coronet, then step back out, there will now be a Pink Light which is PALKIA!)
Note: You might have to beat the Elite Four first, I’m not sure. Both Dialga and Palkia will be Level 70.
