The 2009 Much Music Video Awards (MMVA) was held in Toronto, Ontario at Much Music headquarters in Canada on Sunday June 21, 2009. The young sensation groups Jonas Brothers were co-hosting the show. On the stage, entertainers included Lady Gaga, Jonas Brothers, Nickelback, Kelly Clarkson, Shiloh, Black Eyed Peas and others.
Nickelback and Danny Fernandes were the artists with the most nominations and both had 5 nominations each. The most 3 awards were won by Nickelback. The celebrity appearance were also there, the most notable were Washington Capitals left-winger Alex Ovechkin, singer Tila Tequila, gossip blogger Perez Hilton and some of the Canada’s athletes attended the ceremony.
Nominees for the much music awards had been announced. 4 nominations had already been chosen by Much Music and one wild card nomination had been chosen which had the most votes on the Much Music website. One wild card nomination is showed first in the list.
