An American advertising executive Robert May created the popular Christmas song ‘Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer’ as a poem. Rudolph Reindeer songs originally tells about the tale of Santa Claus’ ninth and lead reindeer who has an strangely red-colored nose that gives off its own light, powerful enough to light up the team’s path through stormy climate.
Robert May was working as an Advertising Executive, who was talented to compose the Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer poem. He had a natural flair with words and the song was purposely designed to appeal to children. In the first year of song’s publication, the marketing ploy was a huge achievement and around 2.5 million Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer poems were given away. A musical version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer was recorded by the singer Gene Autry and composed by Johnny Marks in 1949.
