Look of this car sucks big time…yuck.
…not really a family car..not be able to make ..that possition …
in other words updated version of maruti van mixed with versa
use ur brain while manufacturing car for indian people.
eeco and versa is same product dump and wastage of money.
Maruti tagged this car as a family car in the auto expo. looks like a 7 seater auto to me.
Not sure why maruthi wants to showcase this in the prestigious auto expo.

its really an affordable car for big families. But surely not for couple.
It is certainly a great offer for middle class people, and especially for people with big family.
The price is also affordable and one can use this vehical for commercial purposes with reasonable cost……..Well let’s hope this new invention prove to be successful for Maruti and its customer.
Regards
Jolly
I wonder why Maruti does not understand that the vehicle needs an diesel engine. Large family looking for low cost cars will also be looking for good mileage. The Fiat diesel engine would have made a perfect choice. I guess everyone in the near future will go for Diesel, or Hybrid cars. With Petrol prices going through the roof and its useless mileage, it is only good for FI where they need a big pickup. In our cities we need to be able to drive at a max of 40 KMPH.
I hope there is no LPG version. LPG will drop the mileage
this is great with this price..!
Looks like a good vehicle for Family. Price-wise; difference between 7Seater non-AC and AC is too much(67000).
I have taken a test drive of this car the picup and comfort is good according to the type og van it is.
But suerly this should come in a diesel version….I dont think so this will give milage more than 10 in city drive
good product by maruti…………..diesel version should attract customers.
Only maruti knows the requrement of indian people Eeco is good looking family Car

gud for auto version….
As Maruti has launched the economy car,They should take care of the fuel economy.Which is not there in 7 seater ECO.Along with the price concentration should be done on the economical drive also.I am planning to buy this car but definitely not by the average of 15 KMPL.it should be at least 21+.
BAHUT ACCHI CAR HAI.
i want to purchased Eeco Family Car
Ya this is very good looking & comfort vehicle, but it need a diesel engine for market pick up, other than its similar to varsa,
Seems to be so nice and I suppose to feel that all the previous deffects etc on the road might have been rectified. I think U have taken great interest to modify the design and running condition of the new model vehicle. Congratulation for bringing such vehicle to the market with a low budget. thanks.
I like this 5seater very well. OK Thanks.
EECO Should have launched with 1300CC diesel engine that is fitted in Swift. Maruti should quickly implement to launch this Diesle version of EECO which will be a great bet for many middle class indians.
Imagine a Diesel version of EECO in sub 5 lakh range.(estimation of diesel variant is around one lakh higher over petrol version)…. any possibility should I wait for it?
LOOKS LIKE A COMBINATION OF MARUTI 800 AND OMNI…………………….
ITS MILEGE FACTOR IS A DOUGHTFUL QUESTION 4 THE CUSTOMERS…………..
MIGHT IMPROVE THE FACILITIES OF OMNI…………………………………………….
WONT GET APPRECIATION……………………AS WAGON R OR SWIFT……………….
It’s too bad that 7 seater eeco doesn’t comes with AC edition. Though it looks like versa combined with omni van, it is much affordable in the price perspective. Let’s hope for the later version upgraded with attractive features like diesel, AC, powersteering etc….
hello friends,
m olso interested in buying this car.du u feel it is a gud car 4 me?
You guys play great trick to confuse customers in adding and cutting options, facililities, rates, etc., what ever it is… comparitively its worth spending for this vehicle.
I like maruthisuzuki eeco is excelent . Is is combination of maruthi 800 and omini. It is usefull for middle class families of india. It is gift of middle class. In 5 seated varient with diesel with power stearing. a/c is need for future india. If reduce the price it will be beat the nano technology.
Nice Car it is true value of money.
This is the world’s Cheapest car in this Segment.
Because the space and the engine this car have unbelievable at this price.
I can guess this car have a good future.
I request to the company instead look forward for CNG and diesel variant without giving so much(affordable) pressure in price, this car will rock.
All the best for the journey.
Nice car for Middle class Indians, but i go with Rajeev that it could have been a wonderful product with a diesel engine or Gas kit fitted. But Gas has an issue of avaliablity so Dieseal would be more preferrable. I am planing to chnage my Maruti Omni to this car … Should i wait for a Dieseal Version in the near future ?????
But overall Thanks to maruthi …. no one knows indian minds and roads as good as MARUTI
Not given price of Maruti Suzuki eeco.
nice car….,
i want to know the details of it.
i think this car is good for middle class family. all the features are good but maruti can done better for the model bcz i this car is simply a copy of Versa..
very good car
need of the hour is a diesel version wt mileage around 19 kmpl. dont buy the petrol version. It wud certainly b a waste. Seems like maruti has been in a hurry to release this car. A gud diesel version wt added features like power steering, audio, rear a/c vent, central locking, remote boot opening, tubeless tyres, power windows wt a price tag of Rs. 6.25 lakhs will b a DEFINITE HIT wt Indian customers. Wait and watch. A diesel version shud b on the way by oct 2010. That wud slowly replace indica cab, omni, sumo and the near extinct versa and qualis.
For middle class, family car, economical, color variety, but quite bad that it does come with 7 seater AC
thankyou MARUTHI’S
Car looks good, but again its a Petrol version , Maruti should concentrate on making Diesel vehicles , that is the necessity now , Petrol is good , but if this was an Diesel , must have created a havoc in the Automobile market.
Kolkata
This is the best new year gift by suzuki to the middle class Indian people. maruti has the reputation of providing excellent service and products. maruti should upgrade this car to LPG,CNG and diesel versions, even the Electric and hybrid versions will be a great hit. it is a great spacious car not less than a suv. the price of this car is down to earth, middle class Indians will find thia As A cherry on cake.
I think maruti should hire design engineerings from its competitors and come with some outstanding designs. This eeco is no different from versa. The seating is as lousy as the looks. You don’t feel you are sitting in a big vehicle. Wake up maruti and revamp your engineering team. Give them a pink slip and hire more creative guys.
I just got it test driven horrible handling wholly underpowered K series engine 1.2L I doubt if it gives even 8kmpl fully stressed engine with 5 people on board no one can turn the vehicle at 90 from stand still since no power steering technology for this heavy vehicle availablke with suzuki engineers who seem to be taking India for a ride .Watch out for boulder, dividers hitting engine sump ,gear box housings made of low grade alumium might crack burning a big hole in your pockets as both are exposed at lowest level underneath as due to rear wheel drive where suzuki engineers goofed up as incase of climbing into the vehicle like a truck , very difficult for elderly people as no foot board provided and wheel size has been increased to save engine case from bottom hitting uneven roads as happened in older versa.
Very cheap quality seats for front no adjustable head rest very thin foam no wrap round the body design like local govt bus seats , only driver side seat is reclining and sliding not co passenger seat
and rear seats donot recline nor fold so space of this vehicle is of no use to any one .another goof up is poorly welded plate on luggage cabin to accomodate six and seventh seat ,this spoils the whole space as the platform of vehicle is divided into two cabins at two levels unlike omni.
DSA so called for diagonal shift is a gimmick ,shift is pretty hard like mahindra willy;s jeep try it to believe, synchromesh I really wonder is working here or not.Driving this in city is like drving a Tata sumo without power steering where in sumo weighs more than 1600 kgs but this vehicle is around 1000Kgs .Front imact aborbing beams have been missing as the crumple zone structure.side impact beams I am yet to open and measure for structure and size.hence i can not comment.
As for 1.2 L engine piston slap of 1.3 has been carried forward as suzuki trade mark in midrange during engine stress not heard in Tata Indica nor Hyundai ,fiat, engines
door trimmings have been removed from versa to reduce cost and made to look more wider inside or to say fooling Indians.
Yes no collapsible steering column either .so tosay all the safety norms as usual haveen thrown in air
and we Indians buy any shit produced by suzuki all due to their strong sales and service backup
it is a spacious vehicle
But it won’t Get WITH 7 SEAT AC Variant and also it seats are very poor
SO it must be maintain maruti
i am also interested in buying this car.du u feel it is a gud car 4 me? jaan what u thinking?
good design (copy cat) showing us the versa in new colour’s again think indians are fools,
why dont u fix a auto meter to it and replace the auto rickshaw & taxi traffic in mumbai,
as the petrol price going to increase again in like every month rise in prices of petrol,
pls manifacture the eeco in diesel version for heaven sake, so that not only the rich can enjoy a car ride even the middle class can enjoy, if its diesel or LPG
thank you
pls remake the eeco in diesel
I have booked one 5 seater. After seeing the comments I am worried if I have done mistake.I have Wagon R VXI for family use.Wanted to use EECO for commercial purpose. But I am now confused.A diesel verson with power steering could solve the matter as it seems.
I drove EECO and found following pros and cons :
Pros : Very smooth steering, considering the fact that it is not power steering. Way beyond Omni’s steering. I noticed the engine noise is almost nil, inspite of the engine is below the driver seat. For the value of 3.2 lakhs on road, you get a family car with 5 or 7 seater and tubeless tyres. Fuel economy of 14 kmpl is reasonable for this size of car. Power with AC on is reasonable and not as bad as Maruti 800. No vibration. Leg space at the second row is reasonable and a person of 6′ height can sit without hitting his knee to front seat. The last row can accomodate persons with 5′8″ max and beyond that is compromise. Anyway … guys this is positioned for ecomonomy and who can buy a spacious 5 seater or compat 7 seater at 3.25 lakhs.
Cons : As usual cheap interiors, which is obvious for this low mid class car. Head rest is required for the middle and last seat considering the safety aspect. But these can be customized with nominal addl cost. Non reclining seat for co-passenger seat is a BIG disappointment. Maruti must consider giving a comfortable seats. I expected better cushion at rear considering the fact that this is with coil spring, unlike omni’s leaf spring. The ride is bumpy at the 2nd row. Maruti must consider this aspect and do something to make it smooth.
My over all view : Person who cannot afford to spend more than 4 lakhs for a 7 seater can go for this vehicle. Lots of comments about diesel varient in this. Keep in mind that diesel may not be feasible in this design as the engine compartment is below the seat, which will cause vibration & generate more heat. Those who want more comfortable seats at 2nd row, can customize the seat with bucket seat.
Best Buy as family car will be : go for 5 seater with AC, customize 2nd row with head rest with cushion on seat. Add 2 babby seat behind the 2nd row. This will be handy to travel 6 adults or 5 adults with 2 kids. Else the last seat can be folded to side and use for luggage. with these customization it may cost about 3.5 lakhs max which worth.
Whether it is copy cat from Versa or upgraded Omni, the fact is it is a budget Van for big size mid income people.
i want to know it is on gas , diesel , or petrol version
availability & price of all version & whre can i see in chembur
MARUTI EECO LOOKING VERY GOOD BUT PLZ MAKE IT IN DIESEL VERSION.
BECAUSE PETROL PRICE IS VERY HIGH.
SO MIDDLE CLASS FAMILY CAN AFFORD IT.
Following questions to suzuki,
1.Why suzuki can not install engine layout at front ,lack of engineering knowledge?
2.Why two different platforms rear and luggage are ?
3.Having drive system gear at rear ,why steering effort for U required much more than alto or
Indica petrol
4.Why no impact beams provided at front? and why thin sheet metal strips named at side impact beams for sides ? Even Tata nano has better built side door frames at 1.6 lacs Vehicle is not so cheap to buy it costs almost 3.6 lacs on road
5.Why mislead public 1.2L as K series which is a same 1.3L wagon R engine with reduced piston size
6.I can understand the difficulties of suzuki engineers finding it difficult to install fiat multijet under the seat because in their whole life the have not designed on their own .
7.why bumpy leaf spring provided at rear which behave like a Jeep at cornering
8.Cant they provide better illumination with better quality reflector for Head lamps?
9.Head rest is very important for rear paasenger as suuden braking will break splinals of passengers
10.In us all japanese manufacturers are getting notice from transport ministry for not adhereing to basic safety standards .In India there is no Govt authority who can question these dumb designs of Suzuki and let off the hook for last 25 years
Eeco is nice car to buy and the model also very good, but one think it is a diesel car means very very nice car in india at the low budget car.
Eeco is a spacious Middle class MUV at a very reasonable price. It is almost a VERSA with some small changes here and there. To cut down costs the VERSA’S interiors, seats, other facilities have been compromised. Though not very powerful it performs reasonably OK and Looking at other reviews it seems to give 14kms in city. The seats look very ordinary and doesn’t give any special look /comfortability at all.
I have booked a 5 seater A/C for the sheer space/price and awaiting delivery any day. The waiting period is very long (3 MONTHS as per BIMAL, Banglore).Maruti please do something about the quality of the interiors/seats,otherwise it will become one more cheap cargo van instead of a premium MUV at a affordable price which is where it should be. Also Let me know if we can go for a factory fitted LPG later at your dealers at some point of time because I was told that the WARRANTY doesn’t hold good the moment an LPG KIT is fitted.
outside. Maruti Authorities Pl Reply

i want a diesel 7 seater car like the beautiful EECO
I request maruti cos. to desing for a diesel engine as it is affordable for the medium class pleple for 15 km/ltr and co driver seat to be inclined type and confirmly any one may declare that its not a look of car but sure its like a van.
