I had purchased a Eeco 2 months ago and I feel that it is not fuel efficient the company says that it gives a mileage of 15.1 km/l but as per my knowledge the car does not give more than10km/l in city traffic. I wish the R.T.O gives permission for the endorsement of lpg gas. atleast we can save a little in price compared to petrol.

As I see lot of comments here asking for a deisel engine for this vehicle.As I have worked with suzuki R&D earlier I can tel you that no suzuki cars in the world are designed to fit the diesel engines ,they are modified to suit Fiat multijet engines in 2008 for specially swift and then splash or ritz in India.And as far as the kei Vans of japan (One may notice the vans plenty copied from each others drawing ) the robustness of body doesnot exist in any of Japanese vehicles because we were taught to design vehicles for more towards economy of long running i.e less wear of clutch plates brakes the vehicles go well with petrol only but diesel crazy INDIANS AND EUROPIANS HAVE MADE SUZUKI TO COMPROMISE ON SAFETY AND FITTED HEAVIER DEISEL ENGINES ON SUZUKI PLATFORMS. In japan no van of this size has diesel engine as the roads are normally flat no ghat sections nor any pot holes.And fitting a longitudinal iesel for Versa/eeco platform is beyond suzuki R&D capability as there are no designs yet made for a van of this size.

I request maruti cos. to desing for a diesel engine as it is affordable for the medium class pleple for 15 km/ltr and co driver seat to be inclined type and confirmly any one may declare that its not a look of car but sure its like a van.
