The awards took place on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 8:00 pm on CMT (Country Music Television). The 8th annual awards ceremony took place at Sommet Center in Nashville, Tennessee it is the country which is told as music capital of the world.
The CMT Awards 2009 hosted by the actor and comedian Bill Engvall. The other hosts were Lance Smith and Katie Cook and the celebrities walked on the red carpet as they were preparing for a big night at the 2009 CMT Music Awards.
