The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Concert 2009 celebrates its 25th anniversary with several events in Cleveland and a two-day “Super concerts” on October 29th and 30th, 2009 at Madison Square.
The two shows will feature guest stars and unique performances meant to tell the history of rock and roll. A four-hour edited version of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Concert 2009 will appear on HBO in mid-November.
Tickets for these Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Concert 2009 shows go on sale on Monday, July 27, 2009 for American Express cardholders and on August 2, 2009 for the general public.
It is not fixed but it is scheduled that October 29th Thursday show will be performed by Simon & Garfunkel, Paul Simon and Bruce Springsteen as a solo act, Stevie Wonder and the whole group that includes Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young and friends.
Then October 30th Friday show: Aretha Franklin with U2, Metallica, and Eric Clapton will give headlines. It is believed that there maybe Paul McCartney, Sting, the Rolling Stones and a few other big names like Bob Dylan. Read more information here.
There are many other great acts that have never been inducted into the Hall of Fame, almost too many to name including Hall & Oates, Linda Ronstadt, Chicago, Moody Blues, Carly Simon, Todd Rundgren, etc.
