Soundarya Rajinikanth engaged with Aswin Kumar on 17 February 2010. Soundarya is youngest daughter of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth. Soundarya Rajinikanth Engagement event held in evening at the Park of Sheraton Hotel, Chennai. Soundarya finished her education from Australia. She is involved in cine field and also directing animated movie “Sultan The Warrior” with her father Rajnikanth. It is dream project of Soundarya. 27 years old Aswin Kumar is son of Chennais’ well-known industrialist Ramkumar. He got master degree from USA based Stanford University. Now he works with his father in the real estate construction company K S Venkatraman & Co. First time Soundarya met Aswin on the sets of Goa then she had fall in love with him so their wedding of them could be considered as arranged cum love marriage. Soundarya and Aswin Kumar will be wedded only after some months. In this event, the family of Rajinikanth invited some VIPs, film stars, businessmen, politicians and personally invited AIADMK General Secretary Jayalalitha and Chief Minister Karunanidhi.

Soundarya said on her wedding engagement,” I know Aswin for the past one year. My parents and his parents are good family friends. When I told my father about our love, he agreed. This love marriage has taken place with both the parents’ approval. I am really that I have chosen Aswin. I did not have the intention of selecting a bridegroom from my profession. At the same time Aswin respects my profession. After marriage we will be staying in Chennai.”
