South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson shouts ‘you lie’ at Obama
South Carolina Congressman (A Republican lawmaker) Joe Wilson shouted “you lie”, when president Obama address to congress on Wednesday. Afterwards, the congressman later apologized for his “lack of civility.” Obama gave health care speech to congress and members of both parties condemned the heckling.
Obama said, “There are also those who claim that our reform effort will insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false. The reforms I’m proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally.” After that Joe Wilson shouted, “You lie!”
For his outburst South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson issued a statement apologizing after the speech. He said that he was being different with president’s statement but his comments were regrettable and inappropriate. For this lack of civility he extends sincere apologies to the president. Other Republicans also criticized Wilson, along with the expected Democratic condemnation.
It was crude and disrespectful called Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin of Illionois. Clyburn told on FOX News that was probably one of the most-insulting things he had ever seen. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she didn’t intend to move to sanction anyone for it.
Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Missouri said “Biggest disappointment of evening, the total lack of respect shown by one member for the President,” she wrote. “Never acceptable to behave like a jerk.” This sentence was told by McCaskill after the speech.

Joe Wilson Caused quite a stink? Funny how after rejecting (that’s explicitly REJECTING) efforts by the republicans to include an enforcement mechanism in bamacare to restrict taxpayer funded health insurance to legal citizens multiple times (that’s MULTIPLE TIMES) suddenly demoncrats are going to “look into the details and make sure there is an enforcement mechanism to restrict taxpayer funded health insurance to legal citizens”. Hmmm! Turns out may be that stink was actually coming from the empty suit that was on the podium?
I shouted “you are a liar” many times at the TV also but only my husband heard it.
Most everything that Pres. Obama said while campaigning is now the opposite.
We do NOT trust him at all. We believe his efforts are to make America a Socialist state.
And if the blinders were off all Dems they would see the truth too. Put America before
politics and power. During Pres. Obama’s speech I expected his nose to grow a foot
at any moment.

I agree with Congressman Wilson and thank him for shouting out how many Americans feel. Certain Politicians think the Am. people are STUPID and are trying to pull the wool over our eyes.
These are elected officials not a Kingdom where they can go and do as they will without trying to manipulate us. I’m sick to death of the Nancy Pelosi, H. Reid, the President and so on. They need to listen to what we have to state. Thanks again Congressman Wilson for your comment, it may not have been the right place but I feel it was the right time. Joe Wilson disrespected the ‘office’ of the president not the ‘man’…the’ man’ doesn’t care that Joe Wilson is ignorant and much like G. W. Bush ‘bullheaded’ (“…I will not apologize again!”). Everyone isn’t opposed to more comprehensive healthcare. Many who are opposed haven’t even read the proposals and are too stupid the know what’s good for them anyway…instead they’ve blindly accepted the words of their ‘dema-god’ Rush Limbaugh, a recovering drug addict. I will say the same about you as I have about Joe Wilson…I would have respected Joe Wilson more if he had sat in his seat quietly with a ‘hood’ on his head.
This is everybody’s ‘America’ now! Not just your trashist idea of it!…Love her or Leave her!
