American college student Amanda Knox was founded as responsible for murdering her British roommate by stabbing. She was punished for 26 years in jail early Saturday after a year long trial with strong media attention. Amanda’s co-defendant, past boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, was also criminal and punished for 25 years. Both were found responsible for sexual beating in the 2007 murder of Meredith Kercher (a 21 year old student from England). Knox and her boyfriend Sollecito have to pay compensation to the Kercher family about a million euros to her father, 800000 euros to each of her three siblings and a million euros to her mother. Both of them also have to pay legal fees.
Amanda Knox’s father named Curt Knox, walked the four blocks from the courtroom to his hotel staring uncaringly ahead, holding his two tearful daughters by the hand. After sometime, 22 years old Amanda Knox from Seattle and the 25 years old Sollecito were put in police vans with sirens blaring and driven back to prison. After hearing decision her stepmother named Cassandra Knox, said “This is just wrong,” turning around immediately. A local public who stand outside the courthouse shouted insults at the Knox family who come in to hear the decision.
Kercher’s dead body was found in a pool of blood on Nov. 2, 2007 in the bedroom of the house. She shared her feelings with Knox and both were studying in the medieval town of Perugia in central Italy. Knox relatives and friends are disappointed when they watch the verdict on TV. Other friends buried their faces in their hands and shook their heads. The examination said a 6 ½-inch (15.2 –centimeter) Knife was found by authorities at Sollecito’s house and had Kercher’s DNA on the knife and Knox’s on the handle.
Defense lawyer said the amount of DNA collected was in small quantity and the Knife was too big to match Kercher’s wounds. Knox and her boyfriend Sollecito have been jailed for more many years. Read more here.

I think this crime is utterly disgusting and Amanda Knox and her boyfriend Raffaele sollectio deserve to be locked up in jail for life , That young lady Meredith Kercher did not deserve to be brutally murdered she looked like a young happy woman that enjoyed life to the fullest and had a great future ahead of her my thoughts and heart go out to her and her family may god keep her family safe and protect them always .
