Yasin Malik

Muhammad Yasin Malik, The Chairman of JKLF is a very strange and interesting character. Almost whole of his life, he spent in jail and in examinations and his movement is a separatist one. In Pakistan based training camps, Yasin Mali underwent training on arms and ammunition, and he is originally came to fame as a militant in JKLF. In period of 1989-1994, he had killed a group of unarmed Indian Air Force men while they were waiting for their transportation to arrive.

In 1994, he was released, after then Yasin Malik leaves violence & favors peaceful methods for the settlement of Kashmir Conflict.

Personal Life:

In 1963, Yasin Malik was born in a modest Kashmir family of Maisuma Bazar in the Centre of Srinagar. With his family consisting of his parents and three sisters, thirty-five years later he still lives in the same house. Yasin Malik is married a Pakistani painter Mushaal Mullick in January 2009. Mushaal Mullick is famous for her woman-based paintings.

Yasin Malik’s Political Career:

While he was in school, his introduction to political activism occurred at 16. He was occupied in full time political activity by 1986, two years later. The J&K Students League, an organization devoted to publicizing and debating the true status of the state founded by him and he also became the general secretary. Shortly thereafter he joined Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front.

Recent News:

With his Pakistani wife Mishaal Mullick, Separatist leader Yasin Malik returned to this Jammu and Kashmir summer capital recently.

According to a private TV channel report, he saw Jammu and Kashmir as an independent and secular state in the future said by him. He also said that he is not talking about Western secularism but pointing towards the secularism which is based on religious mysticism. India and Pakistan to start again peace talks and include the Kashmiri leadership in the process as well, asked by Malik.
