Gallbladder Diet

A small pear shaped sac, which is situated under the liver, is called Gallbladder. Liver produce bile and this bile is stored in Gallbladder. When we eat, the Gallbladder stimulated and release bile into the intestine. For the proper digestion, bile is necessary. Food digestion would be impaired when bile is present in fewer amounts from its requirement. Due to this we would suffer from many troubles like vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, heart-burn, constipation and abdominal pain.

The gallbladder is an important organ in the human body and not many are aware about its functions and importance.

Gallbladder Diet

We can face the troubles of gallbladder by eating proper diet. We should follow a diet like starchy food such as cereals, bread, rice, fruits and vegetables. We should avoid a diet like red meats, refined, fried and fatty food.

We have to eat following things:

  1. Drink plenty of water
  2. Eat low-fat dairy products. Include low fat cottage cheese and low-fat milk in your meals.
  3. Cook your food – vegetables and lean meats – using spices, ginger, and turmeric. These are good aids for digestion and have antiseptic properties as well.
  4. Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables. The keyword is ‘fresh’. Eat Fresh fruit and fresh vegetables.
  5. Eat lean meats in moderation.
  6. Eat plenty of green leafy salads and lace them with olive oil, flax oil and vinegar.
  7. Take fish oil capsules. These contain Omega 3 oil, which is excellent for you. It prevents cholesterol build-up in the bile.
  8. Eat your last meal of the day several hours before you go to bed.
  9. Eat whole-grain bread.
  10. Eat smaller meals rather than large meals.
