Sinus infections signs and symptoms are usually mild to severe headaches in the sinus area behind the eyes, forehead and cheek bones, in addition to a “stuffed up nose“. Sinus Infection Signs and Symptoms are given here.

Sinus Infection Signs and Symptoms

Within the sinus cavities the swelling are caused by the bacteria in sinus infection. Cavities or openings in continuous connection with the nasal openings are sinuses, in order for both air and mucous to flow free. Because of swelling and infection a sinus is blocked and the air already inside the sinuses causes pressure and the result is a sinus headache.

Sinus pain also occurs due to the air already present inside the sinus is unable to get into the sinus. Sinus infection treatment is done by killing the bacteria, and other microbes that are causing the various sinus infection symptoms with the help of a sinus spray that is sometimes prescribed and sometimes got over the counter.

Thought I’d leave these comments hoping to help anyone suffering from sinus problems. I used to get the twice of year sinus infections, spring and fall along with the host of symptoms…sinus headaches, congestion, facial pain etc. I like to try all natural products first, so I started using Sinol-M early April of ‘09. I’m happy to report that I avoided the spring sinus infection and it appears that I’ll be sailing thru the fall season without one too. Sinol-M has kept me free of congestion, free from headaches and no facial pain. I love it and encourage every sinus sufferer to try it. Here’s their website http://www.sinolusa.com although I bought mine at Rite Aid pharmacies

Couldn’t agree more regarding trying natural products first! Keeping the nasal passages clean also goes a LONG way toward avoiding sinus infections.
Sinus infections are no fun at all. And if they don’t get any better and become chronic you are looking at more serious measures like balloon sinuplasty or sinus surgery.
Thanks for posting have a great day!
