Recently many people died from swine flu in India. Swine flu cases are rising day by day in India and now it has reached up to 20 in India. A fourteen-year-old Pune girl Reeda Shaikh, who is the first tested positive from H1N1 flu on July 31 2009 and she died. This is being seen as the first death caused by the H1N1 flu virus in India.
In India, Bangalore recorded its first swine flu death. Roopa of 36, passed away at the St Philomenas hospital caused by H1N1 virus. At least 68 persons were tested positive from swine flu in Karnataka.
A 33-year-old man Mr. Wilson from Kerala became the 11th Swine Flu victim in India. This is the first-ever Swine Flu death in Kerala. In whole India, the 1,193 positive cases of H1N1 infection are recorded. Delhi, the capital of India has also one death case. A 33-year-old doctor in Nasik died of Swine Flu on August 12. A doctor and a 29-year-old woman had succumbed to the deadly virus in Nashik and Pune respectively.
In Gujarat, two persons died due to swine flu and The Jammu & Kashmir government has put the health care system on high alert. A four-year-old boy also died from viral infection in Chennai.
Pune the city of Maharashtra is recorded the highest 10 cases of H1N1 death in India. Pune remained the worst-hit area by the disease with 61 new cases being reported from the city. In the western region of India like Mumbai has 24 new cases, Kolkata (3), Bangalore (10), Shillong (1), Goa (1), Delhi (8), Hyderabad (3) and Ahmedabad (4).
