Most of the Vietnam dish are prepared from rice, Soy sauce, fish, spices , fruits and vegetables.
Fresh fruits and Vegetables are used widely though out the country. There are Chè, Sinh tố, cakes and many famous deserts are made with fresh fruits.
Here is the list of traditional Vietnam fruits
Acerola ( One kind of Cherry) : mostly used in Fruit juices
Annona(Also known as custard apple): Have many nutrition
Buddha’s hand(a fragrant citron): it looks like lots of fingers in hand
Canistel(Also known as chicken egg): Round sweet fruit
Cherimoya(a species of Annona): the most delicious fruit known to men – Mark Twain
Durian(know as king of fruits due to size): unusual flavor
Guavas(Common Tropical fruit): High nutrition and source of vitamin A and C
Jackfruit( A fruit from mulberry family): It is Largest Fruit born on the tree
Longan(South china origin): Very sweet, used in snacks, deserts and syrup
Rose apple(Also known as Malabar Plum) : Mild rose flavor with little bitter aftertaste
Rambutan(one of the tropical fruit): fruit with Hairy skin
Sapodilla(known as xa pô chê in Vietnam): sweet and gummy fruit
There are also commonly known fruits produced and consumed in Vietnam
Coconut, Plum, Papaya, Mango, Lychee, Star fruit, Watermelon and tomato
