Hi there. I’m a 45 year old woman and for the past few months I’ve experienced occasional episodes of racing heartbeats. It only lasts a minute or so, but it wakes me at night and it usually occurs at rest. I have also been experiencing swelling of my left ankle the past few weeks.
I have poor circulation in my legs, so I’ve assumed that the swelling is a normal part of my returning to work in September after the summer months. I occasionally experience palpitations, but the rapid heartbeat is relatively new.
Should I continue taking baby aspirin? What step should I take next if any.
Thank you. Dominique Jones, Toronto Canada

Dear sirs:
I have a friend who is morbidly obese, with type 2 diabetes, congestive heart failure, and has had by pass surgery. He’s in terrible shape, and I fear the hospital he’s in is not doing much for him. They are telling his wife nothing. They have no insurance(I think the all mighty buck is at work here). They plan to remove him from ICU tomorrow and place him on the floor. They removed a central line they placed upon his arrival. His BP is 128/40. This seems inconsistent with life. They believe he has some sort of renal blockage, I doubt he is a candidate for any type surgery; however with that low of a diastolic pressure, is there anyway they could increase it without damaging the rest of his systems? It’s a shame he is going to die for a lack of money.
Aprompt reply would be appreciated. We’re talking hours or minutes here.
Thank you sincerely,
Wiley M. Mahanay
I am a 48 year old woman who has had an undiagnoseable problem for 25 years. At 23 years old my left hand strting with the thumb began to feel like dead skin on the outside, this feeling then traveled throughout my fingers and hand. Numbness but not tingling more like it’s asleep all the time.
I have had the following tests, some multiple times: MRI cervical and brain 3 times,Catscan, EMGs hand and arm, x-rays from the clavical, back neck, etc… ALL of these tests have shown nothing. In the past 2 years my hand is losing strenth and motor skills. My finges on my left hand do what they want. If I am not paying attention I will drop things. If I had to pick up something flat on a flat surface I can’t without concentrating and watching. Neurologists, internests, chiropractors, hand specialists, etc… have given up on me. Needless to say I am frustrated. Any ideas would be
welcome. I keep giving up but now I am losing control of my hand.

I have bloating and bubbling in the bottom of the lower stomach. In the past year I have been told
by my physican I have gerd. In Feb. 2008 I had colononsphly this was normal . In oct of 2008 I had CT scan of all major organs and not masses or tumors were found. All of this was due to 3 to 4
movements each day one with normal stools and a few hours later one with ribbon stools and I may have another one with stool like mashed potatoes . I have had Itiching at the anus area and just went to the a Dr in gastroenterology within the last week He gave some medcation for the itching and swelling anus . He examed my stomach and the intestinal area feeling for and lumps are tenderness and found none . I do not have these type of stools every day and I do not have any pain , Just bloating and gas , ( feels like bubbles ) and again this is not all the time , I wonder if this may be coming from anixety ? I am a real nut I thing when I come to my body. I worry a lot about symptoms. I do not go to my Dr very often . I do not take any medication . My Heart and

While sitting in a chair I bent over to the left side over the arm of the chair. I bent to far and felt a pain and pop slowly the pain has gone around my breast on the ribs. Did I bruise it or do I need to go see a doctor for something more serious. I can move my arm with little pain on side but try to lay on stomach and heard something pop under the left breast toward the center of my chest.
