Drake University Beautiful Bulldog Contest 2009

Drake University’s 30th Beautiful Bulldog Contest Was Held on Monday 20 April, 2009 in Des Moines, Iowa. The beautiful Bulldog crown is his to dribble on for the rest of the year. The event coincides with the Drake Relays, host 100 again this week at Drake University Bulldog. In this Competition All Bull dog Looks very beautiful & Cool.

The winner of the 30th annual Beautiful Bulldog Contest was Porterhouse owned by Kevin and Erin Bell of Des Moines.

Competition rules, all participants must be real, living, drooling English Bulldog. In addition, costumes and T-shirts, are encouraged to take the judge’s attention.

In this Contest 50 contestants was participated from across Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Wisconsin, Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, South Dakota and South Carolina.

Porterhouse Bull Bog was the crowned the winner of Drake University’s annual Beautiful Bulldog Contest. His 4 years old brown and white bulldog from Des Moines, beat out 49 other dogs from eight states to claim the title. The tongue-in-cheek contest has grown in popularity in recent years. Porterhouse’s owner, Erin Bell, said her dog is a sweet, friendly guy who always makes people laugh. Porterhouse turn out Maxxis, another Des Moines Bulldog, claiming top honors awards.

Porterhouse, owned by Kevin and Erin Bell, of Des Moines, won the contest and Maxxis, ownded by Robert Apt, of Des Moines, was runner-up.

The winner Bulldog will serve as the official mascot for the 100th running of the Drake Relays April 23 to 25 and will appear in the 2009 Relays Parade.
