Glastonbury Festival 2009 is held from 26th to 28th, 2009 in south-eastern England. Glastonbury is a festival of Contemporary Performing Arts. And the some musical entertainment started on 25th June. Heavy rain and thunderstorms have welcomed the 137,000 music fans who are expected on site for what has become one of Europe’s largest festivals.
Glastonbury Festival 2009 gate opened on 24th June, 2009 and more than 140000 music fans arriving in Glastonbury. Yesterday morning Glastonbury revellers were bracing themselves for more torrential thunderstorms after the threatened deluge struck June 25 night.
In first day evening the rain arrived at 7pm, heavy bursts that failed to stop revellers enjoying the event’s first day of music. But after 8 pm the rain downpour came in with lightning, thunder and sheets of rain sparking fears that the 900-acre Somerset site could become a mud bath.
Today Kasabian, Franz Ferdinand, Dizzee Rascal and Pendulum performances will be on Glastonbury stage and on Sunday you can see the Black Eyed Peas and The Prodigy.
Yesterday Lily Allen, Lady Gaga, The Ting Tings and Bloc Party were performed on this festival and everybody was enjoying their performance. Yesterday Jack white also played “The dead weather” on park stage. Neil Young finally made it to Glastonbury last night (June 26) headlining the Pyramid Stage. Here you can see the Today and tomorrow stage performances list. And if you get more info about the Glastonbury Festival 2009 so visits its official source.
