Halloween Costume Ideas for Guys
Pimp:
- Start with the outfit. A bright suit in outrageous prints and colors, pelt, or any other style which you would normally consider tacky and crazy would be perfect.
- Put a standard dress shirt below in any color of choice, leave a couple of buttons upon, pop the collar, and you have the basic band.
- Add a few large costume jewelry chains and rings, a spiffy hat, some shades, a scarf, and a walking cane, and you have completed your fun and funky pimp costume.
Pirate:
- The other easy to do homemade costume is a pirate, start with a pair of black pants of some sort, a white dress shirt, and a red dress shirt in a size larger than the white.
- At the pant legs bottoms cut a zig zag pattern all around to give them a worn look and repeat and the front and back tails of the shirt, and on the sleeves.
- Cut away the collars of the shirt cut the neckline into a v shape, then remove the buttons and make small holes in their place
- Use strings of some sort weave it through the holes in a criss-cross pattern to make the shirt drawstring.
- Make the vest using the red shirt, cut away the collar, part of the front, and the sleeves to create the vest, and be sure to cut in a jagged pattern to give it the tattered appearance, then finish it off with a scarf style belt tied around your waist.
- To complete the costume add a pirates hat or bandana which can be found at any dollar store this time of the year, an eye patch, costume jewelry chains, and a sword.
Chick Magnet:
- Cut out foam in the shape of a magnet and cover the magnet with a shiny gray material.
- Cover the last 6 inches of each end with black material. Glue or pin small toy baby chickens on the edges of the magnet.
- Place the magnet around your neck and shoulders.
