The 58th Annual National Day of Prayer will celebrate on Thursday, May 7, 2009. This Year theme is “Prayer. America’s Hope” and it is based on verses from Psalm 33:22, which says: “can you unconditional love the rest of us, Lord, even when we place our trust in you.”
The National Prayer day is conducted by United States Congress. In this People pray, especially for their country. More than 35,000 of prayer gatherings will be conducted by around 40,000 volunteers across the United States.
National Day of Prayer is not a public holiday. Schools, post offices, shops and other businesses and organizations are open as usual. Prayer services will be held in the 7pm on Thursday 7 May, 2009, in the sanctuary. Everyone is welcomed.
This Years the Focus is Praying for 7 Centers of Power 7 Days a Week, our Federal leaders, military area, media, economics, education, church and family. It is a national observance planned between 9:00a.m.to 12:00p.m in Washington DC that will be broadcast live via webcast over multiple media. Read more info Click Here.
