Scripps National Spelling Bee 2009 Winner, Prizes, Video

The National Spelling Bee 2009 upholds from May 26 in the Grand Hyatt Washington at Washington, DC. This time The 2009 Scripps National Spelling Bee has 293 spellers and has the greatest number in the history of the event. The spellers range in age between 9 to 15 years old with 150 boys and 143 girls.

The finale Scripps National Spelling Bee competition will be held on May 28, 2009.The competition will history be repeated and will an Indian American win a third back-to-back title after Samir Mishra took last year’s championship. To find the answer all eyes will probably be on.

, Beverly Hills at Michigan.They were among some 35 Indian-American and other South Asian students moved to the finals where a record 293 spellers will compete for the championship.

  • Semifinals on ESPN at 10:00 am Eastern / 7:00 a.m. Pacific, Thursday, 28 May
  • Finals on ABC at 8:00 pm Eastern / 5:00 pm Pacific, Thursday, 28 May.
