Zipper Day will be celebrate on 29th April, 2009. In This day all people, young or eighty years, is proud to display and play with the zippers. This zippy holiday only comes once a year.

The modern-day zipper is the culmination of a series of improvements made in more than twenty years of inventors and engineers.

In short, a zipper is two strips of fabric tape with hundreds of oddly shaped, interlocking “teeth” fixed on the two parts of the substance intended to be connected.

The Zippers is useful to many things like a jumpsuits, haute couture evening gowns, tents, jeans, corsets, handbags, parkas, slipcovers, sleeping bags, hoodies and go-go boots.

The name “zipper” was actually made of rubber Tycoon Charles Goodyear, who has turned the onomatopoetic noise closure made in his recently patented, vulcanized golashes: “ziiiip” and “ziiiip” down.
