Kieron Williamson is 7 years old, makes incredible watercolour paintings. Attempts of Kieron Williamson’s are so beautifully rendered that performers ten times his age will be filled with jealousy. In the age of seven years, most of other children paint pictures of houses, people and animals but Keiron’s pictures are confirmation of an incredibly mature eye and a truly natural touch.
Until last May in a family holiday, Keiron had no interest in art, according to his mother Michelle. He had been a typical boy who goes at about 200 miles an hour and whose idea of fun was playing football or riding his bicycle. Sport and playing on his X-Box are still loved by him but art now takes pride of place. Devon and Cornwall scenery enthused him to draw boats in a children’s sketchbook on holiday.
Since then a 12-week course in watercolours has been taken by Keiron and he now throws himself at his work with a resolve far beyond his years. Ms Pennington said:”I have known Kieron since he was a baby but I’d no idea he had it in him. His work is absolutely phenomenal and he is so dedicated that he gets up at the crack of dawn and paints until he goes to school.”
A daily visitor of her Holt gallery is Keiron, the Last Picture Show in Town, she told the Eastern Daily Press. “He is always looking at other artists’ work and although he’s not copying, it’s as if there is a camera in his head and he’s taking it all in for future reference.” More than £1,000 of each were paid by Buyers from as far a field as Japan and Canada to buy one of Kieron Williamson’s 16 watercolours, oils and pastels of Norfolk landscapes.
Last month, KIERON’s second exhibition in a gallery in his home town of Holt, Norfolk, paintings were sold out in 14 minutes. The sale of 16 new paintings swelled his bank account by £18,200. 680 people are in waiting list for a Kieron’s original paintings.
