Malaysia Public Holidays Calendar 2010
Here is the information about Malaysia’s public holidays in 2010 Calendar. There are a lot of local holidays for certain states in Malaysia. However, Malaysia is ethnically varied nation with lots of different religion like Good Friday, Isra Miraj and ethnic groups. Their unique cultural festivals are observed. It is celebrated in its own unique way however may not be a public holiday.
Malaysia’s local holidays are related to the sovereign such as birthday, installation, etc and another are traditional /customs Gawai Dayak, Kaamatan Festival. In the same way weekends and school holidays tend-to-be diverse in those of the conventionally Muslim states of Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah and Perlis in as compared to other states of Malaysia.
The other thing is, some holidays have fixed dates while others differ each year, which are not fixed. These dates change according to their religious or cultural background by which of the Muslim, Indian or Chinese calendars is being used.
Holidays depend on a weekend according to the state (Sunday or Monday) usually will be celebrated on the following day. In many cases the birthdays of the Sultans are fixed on a weekend for not to disrupt work.
