The app will let you scan the memory card or internal memory of your Android device for deleted photos and images. DiskDigger will work in your Android device only if your device is rooted. Moreover, the app is a work-in-progress app, and is currently available in the beta version. The interface of the app is simple and will let you scan your device memory for PNG or JPEG format files. The steps to perform the recovery action using DiskDigger app are shown below.
- Make sure your device is rooted.
- Launch the app.
- A list of all the different partitions of your Android device’s storage will be shown. Select the partition from which you want to recover the photo or image, that is the one in which your photo was present but got deleted.
- After this, click on the Scan device button.
- A screen will be shown to select the type of file you want to search. Click on the File Types button and select whether you want to detect JPEG, PNG or both types of files.
- The detected files will be shown in the left window, and there you may preview your file before recovery.
- After the scanning is complete, and you have selected the files you want to recover, tap on the Save button and select the location where you want to recover.
- Alternatively, you may tap the Mail button.
