The Toastie knife is the first heated butter knife invented ever. The temperature provided to this heating knife is not more warm and not less also, it is perfect cut through the butter without melting the butter into the liquid. The blade of the knife heats up to maximum of 41.8 degrees Celsius or 107.2 Fahrenheit. The knife is heated with the help of two AA batteries inserted in the grip area of the knife. The knife is equipped with a short blade surface and a large holder with bright orange grip.
The knife should be kept away from children as they gets attracted towards such objects and damage themselves. When the knife is hot, its power may heat the skin. The heating of the blade is operated with button on the handle, which is indicated by flashing LED. The knife warms butter slightly before spreading it to the bread in such a way that it applies like grease on the bread and avoids making lumps of butter on the bread. The blade heats to its maximum temperature in only 30 seconds.
The representative of Warburtons, Stuart Jones told that they have structured the knife in such a way that it facilitates the quick heat-up and perfect temperature for spreading the butter and they are glad to get the brilliant results. This tool saves the time of the busy Brits to spread the cold butter on bread. The small research was conducted by the research team, which founded that people are looking out for some tool that free them from the hassles of microwaving the butter or melting the butter cube to spread it on the bread. The product will be available first in England.
The research team took the opinion of 3,000 people and concluded that 1 per cent people from them were men which used hair dryer to overcome the problem of heating butter as early as possible to save their time. 28% of them put butter in the microwave, 7% heat the knife on the hob and 8% put it on a plate on top of the toaster. This is the reason why the research team thought that there is the necessity to develop a tool for the comfort of the consumers.
