Apple has always released its iPads in March (iPad 1 in March 2010, iPad 2 in March 2011 and iPad 3 in March 2012). But, this time the company has released the fourth-generation iPad or iPad 4 in October just six months after the release of the new iPad. Apple announced the iPad 4 at the iPad mini launch event on 23rd October. The iPad 4 is officially known as “iPad with Retina display”. The new iPad will be replaced by this fourth-generation iPad. The iPad 4 looks just like the new iPad but has lots of changes under the hood. It is much faster than its predecessor. Here are provided the specifications and features of iPad 4.
Features and Specifications of Apple iPad 4:

The screen has rich color saturation, 2048 x1536px resolution at 264 pixels per inch (ppi) and fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating.
Apple has made a significant improvement in the processing unit of the iPad 4. The 4th gen iPad will have the most powerful processor of the company, A6X processor. This processor is faster and more responsive compared to the A5X processor as well as provides 2 times better CPU and graphics performance. The processor will improve the quality of the photos and videos taken from iPad 4’s camera and apps will run smoothly.
There are two cameras on the device: front and rear. The front facing camera has been upgraded from VGA to 1.3MP. The 1.3MP front camera comes with face detection, Backside illumination and geotagging, and 5MP iSight rear camera includes five-element lens, autofocus, face detection, Hybrid IR filter, geotagging and backside illumination. The front camera is able to record 720p HD videos, whereas the rear camera can record full HD videos.
The device has a lightning data connector similar to iPhone 5. This connector is smarter, reversible, 80% smaller and more durable compared to the 30-pin connector. It also sports Bluetooth 4.0 for data sharing.
The fourth generation iPad has dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz bands) 802.11n Wi-Fi that offers 2 times better the Wi-Fi performance than the previous iPad models. The Wi-Fi supports channel bonding to get download speeds of up to 150Mbps.
