iPod Touch 4G Specs, Features & Prices revealed by Apple

Finally it seems that the wait and the rumors have come to an end. The features and the pricing of the iPod Touch 4G from the abode of Apple have been made official. The iPod Touch 4G has finally been unveiled by Apple and boasts of loads of attractive and innovative features to speak about. Looks like Apple has made a good move by this launch!

The new Apple Pod Touch 4G has been actually been revealed by Steve Jobs in Apple’s special press conference. He has already made the announcement of the iOS 4.1, iOS 4.2 along with the iPod Shuffle and the iPod Nano. The users are left with the iPod Touch 4G as the option for the MP3 player iPod from Apple. With so many of the variations of the iPod devices, they seem to have killed the basic iPod Classic which was once there.

Being one of the most highly anticipated devices from the home of Apple as because of the iPod Touch 4G which was rumored a lot that the device is said to feature attributes which are similar to the iPhone 4. The rumors are to be true that the device is to have specifications similar to the popular iPhone 4. The difference is that the device is rather slimmer of a form factor and does not have a 3G connectivity compared to the iPhone 4.

The new iPod Touch 4G is to have the popular Retina Display feature of the iPhone 4, which has been critically acclaimed. This does signify that the device will signify a screen resolution of 960 x 640 pixels, and will feature 326 pixels per inch. Due to this high-end Retina Display technology, the device will have 24-bit color support and LED back lighting. The device is also to be accompanied by the Apple A4 chip which shall actually make the device quite a much powerful and faster iPod, and shall actually make this device perfect for mobile gaming.

The new iPod Touch 4G is to support gaming, and Apple says that not only has the iPod touch become their most popular iPod but it also has managed to outsell both Nintendo and Sony’s handheld gaming consoles combined. The Gyroscope has also been thrown into the device making the device more appreciable. There is also a front and rear facing camera. Thus, due to such attributes, FaceTime will be able to be used over Wi-Fi, and also enabling HD Video Recording. Besides these, the facet of video editing will be made more convenient on the device due to the support of the iMovie app.

The pre-orders for the iPod Touch 4G have started now and the device is being available in three versions, one with an 8 GB support costing about $229, and another with a 32 GB support with a price tag of $299, while the third version is to have a 64 GB support for $399. The shipping is to be starting next week.

   can any 1 tell me …does it hve d same thickness as the 3g ipod touches? or will it be thicker?

   awwwww, sucks!!!!!! 0.7MP cam is garbage, i’s kind of dismayed but i’ll still go for it for it’s faster OS and the gyrocope thiny. ^^
