HP has been a world leader in the innovation and technology Desktops are on the fringe of being extinct and the new range of HP desktops that have been released by HP today can be of great help to this dying clan. The new desktop computers that have been launched by HP include 3 different models and classic ones as well- the HP TouchSmart 310, HP TouchSmart tm2 convertible notebook and the HP Omni100 desktop. The company has also announced an apps center for the Touchsmart which will provide access to the free and subscription-based applications from Marvel Comics, Cartoon Network, touch-enabled games, and more.
HP TouchSmart 310
The HP TouchSmart 310 features a slim, 20-inch HD multitouch display, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, AMD’s 2.8GHz Athlon II 240e dual-core processor, 4GB of RAM, up to 2 TB of storage, built-in wireless LAN and a webcam. It also has a DVD burner and an optional TV tuner. Those indeed are mouthwatering specs. The HP TouchSmart 310 starts at $699.99 and will be available on September 22, 2010. Although the hardware specs of the device seem superbly enthralling I am really not convinced with the processor selection if the company had done so much hard work to give such good specs at such low cost then why not use the Intel i7 processor in place of the AMD’s Athlon but as you say not everything is perfect which indeed brings me to the HP TouchSmart tm2. The new HP Omni100 has a 20-inch (non-touchscreen) display, 1.8GHz Athlon II 260u dual-core CPU, 3GB of RAM, 500GB HDD, ATI Radeon HD 4270 graphics, WiFi b/g/n and a webcam. A really proud HP vice president was heard saying- “Each generation of TouchSmart is a reflection of what HP has learned from its customers, complemented by the latest technologies, The TouchSmart PC’s unique interface lets users do more than just basic computing – it acts as the anchor of one’s digital lifestyle, encouraging creativity, organization and a truly immersive experience.” And indeed he was correct.
