Great time for HTC fans as the company has revealed the HTC Runnymede as HTC’s first flagship Android device along with the HTC Bliss, a women centric smartphone. These two phones proven that HTC is certainly keeping pace with the high-end Android-powered devices. Runnymede has a pretty striking specification datasheet in comparison to Bliss. It will be the company’s first smartphone that will have HTC Beats Audio, for the premium audio experience. Also, the HTC Bliss’ specs don’t look too bad, as it will be come with a new ‘charm indicator’ that will light up when calls, texts, and emails come in the device. Specifications sheets for both upcoming Gingerbread-powered HTC phones have been leaked out onto the web, and if we look at the specs, we may make out decision that which one of these new HTC devices able to tempt the majority of the people?

From both of these phones, Bliss is likely to be officially launched at the forthcoming media event on September 20 and it is unsure when the Runnymede will be launched. May be alongside the Bliss in the next week, or might show up in October at the CTIA show.

The HTC Bliss is Pure and purposely designed women centric smartphone. The device runs on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread OS with the new HTC Sense 3.5 overlay and has 4 GB internal memory. The phone will be manufactured by using special rubberized plastic to give better grip over the phone to women. Other details about RAM are yet to be known.

Moreover, this smartphone will be appeared in various color schemes and has a set of accessories, including a square-shaped speaker that supports voice recognition, wireless charging dock with built-in speakers, and ‘charm indicator’. There is also one more women centric smartphone in the range of HTC phones and that is HTC Glamor. The Bliss may come to Verizon under HTC Rhyme name as this time it has HTC Beats audio and more pleasant look.

HTC’s Two New Smartphones: HTC Bliss & Runnymede

HTC Runnymede is the first phone to take advantage of HTC and Beats Audio’s strategic partnership so it will become Sensation Special Edition. Its unibody design is similar to Windows Phone-packing Radar and well matches with HTC’s other new Windows Phone, the Titan in term of screen.

The handset has been given the HTC Bass name due to its Beats technology with its impressed results. It means that Runnymede offers a rich, street-smart enhanced audio and sweet ear-gear, full sonic experience with a sound profile custom-designed by Dr. Dre himself. The spec sheet mentions that some Runnymede devices will dispatch in few different flavors as some of them will come with Beats headphones whereas others will dispatch with Beats Solo headphones.

Leaked spec sheet confirms that HTC Runnymede has large 4.7-inch 800×480 Super LCD display, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facer camera, 720p video capture, storage capacity of 16GB and 768MB RAM, and 1,600mAh battery. It is powered by 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor and for connectivity purpose, it is equipped with the usual Wi-Fi trappings and Bluetooth. The device would be under just 9.9mm thick and become quite pocketable. It will be also available in multiple SKUs, as some of which will have Beats headsets in the box.
