The seven inches tablet market is hot as hot can get right now, we are in the tablet era and there are tablets which are being made available in all model and price ranges. HUAWEI the China based electronics manufacturer has also come up with its representative to face the competitors in the tablet era and this one is called the ‘Mediapad’. As far as the features and their description is concerned, the device features a unibody design where in the 7 inches 1280 x 300 resolution touch screen fit very well. The device has a thickness of only 10.5 mm and hence is great to hold.
The device fathoms a 5MP camera on the back and a 1.3 MP one in front for video calling. However, the quality of video calling would really have to be checked as the device was significantly slower in loading web pages. The 1.2 GHz QUALCOMM processor was one feature that really impressed the processor seemed to be quite powerful and the Angry Birds game looked as if was made especially for this tablet device.
As far as the other technical features are concerned the Huawei MediaPad connects through WIFI and HSPA+3G technologies and also has an HDMI port. The company claims that the device has a battery life better than six hours however, the legality of the claim is yet to be established. The device runs the Android Honeycomb that is the version 3.2 of the operating system and that is a big plus using which the developers are planning to sell the device.
The company has stated that the device is especially aimed at the female tablet enthusiasts of the world as the 7 inches division is one that particularly suits that side of the gender table well. The device is supposed to be priced at a competitive $300 which indeed can just go in the favor of the developers. The company has declined to release any sales target for the tablet for this or the next year and hence it is pretty difficult to believe that company also has full trust over the device.
HUAWEI is also in a legal fix with Apple taking the design of the device into consideration however, the company is pretty confident of coming out of that clean and strong.
