Freelance developers are people who go deep into the marvels of their thoughts and bring out from there some extremely beautiful and excellent looking designs. Mac Funamizu is one of the many such freelance developers who has gained great popularity in the world because of his uncanny and absolutely different designs. The designer has again given the world a very impressive concept phone (A concept phone is a futuristic device that boasts a form factor features and specs that are out of the way and beat those that the existing or traditional ones carry) design this one is called the Nagisa phone and seems to be inspired by the surf boards of our generation and by god it looks superb.
It seems that the designer has thought well about the design and added some really cool features, one of them Is the dented keypad that gives the look of a wavy sea bed and the screen is designed in such way that it turns almost 180 degrees about the bend. The name of the phone is also well justified with the form of the phone as Nagisa in Japanese means a beach and the phone pretty much looks like a beach to its users.
The form has very rounded edges; it is almost oval in shape. The device can be laid flat on a table and It is pretty slim as well. The designer says that a lot of the phone is made of glass not specifying though which parts is he referring to and so he may think of tweaking the form factor later on. Another point to be noted is that there is no slot for the camera on the design and also no place for the charging or USB ports which again suggests that the form factor may need further revisions. AL present the designer claims that there is no the designs are mere sketches and hence we will have to see which phones in the future run on this new form factor.
This Nagisa phone concept bears a strong resemblance with the Aqua phone. This is a terrific screen with a curvaceous screen. This is what the designer has to say on his blog when asked Why is he doing this and whether he plans any of these to become a product? “I love to design stuff. So originally I enjoyed creating desktop wallpapers for personal use, but I found it much more fun to design something more unique. I have a lot of crazy drawings in my Moleskine, so I started having them rendered nicely to introduce to everyone here. It’s kind of practice to improve my design skills I decided to make this my main career and started freelancing.I’m not planning to (or I just can’t by myself), but it would be great if someone could really do it. I’m not interested in earning money out of this, so feel free to contact me if you ever think you can do it.”
