New iPod Nano 6G Specs, Features & Price revealed in Apple’s Media Event

Apple has always done things which have kept the company in limelight all throughout the year (or at least tends to be so). And now, the company has once again come into headlines with the re-invention of the iPod nano, a device which is rather aimed to revolutionize the iPod technology. The device has been equipped with features as touch-friendliness.

It was just yesterday that Apple has unveiled the all new iPod nano 6G, which have just proved all the rumors of the device to be true. According to the company, the new iPod nano 6G is rather enhanced in the attributes of being smaller, much slimmer and, as said before, touch-friendlier. Among the specifications of the device, the iPod nano 6G is to incorporate the multi- touch user interface. The device is to be about 46 per cent smaller and of course, 42 per cent lighter than the predecessor.

In the iPod nano 6G, Apple has done away with the armbands, and now, they have rather introduced the Clip. The device is accompanied by Volume buttons, and a feature called VoiceOver. Other major specifications of the device include FM Radio, Nike+ and pedometer. The device also supports around 29 languages, quite a volume.

The Apple iPod nano 6G is so small that the device is somewhat comparable to the iPod Shuffle, but of course the device is a brand new one and is better than the shuffle. As we already know that the Apple iPod Shuffle provides features as VoiceOver, genius playlists, and will also offer about 15 hours of battery life. The iPod Shuffle is to be available in colors of Silver, Blue, Green, Pink and Orange.

In terms of battery life and support, the iPod nano 6G device is said to be capable of providing around 24 hours of playback time. This does not seem to be that bad, or does it? You can actually enjoy music, videos and photos, and that much is all about the device, Hope, you are not expecting to run and enjoy the iOS apps on it, as they will not apply on this device.

In terms of availability and pricing, the iPod nano 6G device is said to be available in two versions. One of them is being accompanied by a storage support of 8 GB and the other will be accompanied by a storage support of about 16 GB. The 8 GB version of the device will be available with a price tag of $149, and the 16 GB one will be available for $179. The device is to be available in vibrant shades and variety of hues, which feature to be exactly around seven colors.
