Samsung S8600 Wave III: Review & Specifications

Samsung’s own Bada OS has taken a step forward and stand out in the market with the latest big version 2.0 which is fast, new and well-improved. Moreover, the Samsung S8600 Wave 3 is running on a 1.4 GHz processor that offers smooth and quick response to your commands along with Bada OS 2.0. Along with the Wave 3, Bada 2.0 is become a proper stage for real application multitasking.

The phone may have thin and all-metal body. The Wave 3 will be going back to the metal body change which makes it have something more than Galaxy S and S II missed out. The phone has brushed aluminum surface on the metallic back that contribute a lot of the solidity and provide a real pleasure. The Wave 3 is not heavier despite of weighty metal on the back and considered as slim as the I9000 Galaxy S. Also with the broad cross section of the screen and fast processor support, multiple applications can run smoothly.

Multimedia is certainly a forte of S8600 Wave 3, also it brings a completely new gallery that is similar to Android. You can enjoy higher connectivity with this phone as it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPRS, WLAN, micro USB v2.0, EDGE and Bluetooth v3.0. Samsung S8600 Wave 3 has internal memory up to 3GB internal space but you can expand the memory with external microSD memory card up to 32 GB to store more content. The Phone is equipped with Standard Li-Ion 1500 mAh battery that gives impressive battery backup of 480 hrs in stand by mode and up to 8 hours and 30 mins in talk time mode.

Moreover, Samsung S8600 Wave 3 is integrated with many creative features like TV-Out, games, Digital compass, FM radio with RDS, Java, Music recognition, Predictive text input (T9 Trace), Document viewer, MMS, Voice memo, Samsung ChatON, Push Email, IM and HTML web browser, and many more.

Sadly, the hardware used on the Wave 3 is not as impressive as it was used at the time of original Wave was introduced. The phone is still not equipped with dual-core magic, powerful graphics, storage and impressive RAM. Also it is unclear yet whether new edition will be Bada OS 2.0 or not. The 1.4GHz processor of the Wave 3 is no doubt a good player but not able to being at the edge of technology. The Wave 3 has better battery life than the Galaxy S Plus or original Galaxy S.
