A new Android powered smartphone, the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman, has been recently launched by Sony Ericsson. Sony Live with Walkman is targeted to younger folks and Facebook users and it features a dedicated Walkman hardware button that offers instant access to the music player. Users are allowed to like, share and discover content through a deep Facebook integration by this button. It also contains an infinite button, by which users are allowed to search even more music and video content by utilizing the new Qriocity service of Sony Ericsson.
Sony Live with Walkman is featured with a 3.2” TFT touchscreen with 320×480 resolution, powerful 1 GHz processor, Bluetooth, DNLA, and Micro USB support. The measurement of this smartphone is 56.5 x 106 x 14.2 mm and its weight is just 115g. It runs on the latest Gingerbread 2.3 platform, it also gives access to more than 250,000 applications from Google Android Market. This handset also includes a bundle of audio extras such as Mp3 music tones, ‘media discovery’ application, FM radio, stereo earphones, TrackID, and speakers (natch).
Sony Live with Walkman is also featured with 320MB of onboard memory and a microSD card slot for expansion. The audio output is increased from the inbuilt stereo speakers by Sony’s ‘Xloud’ technology. This handset contains a 5MP rear facing camera with autofocus and dedicated button and a VGA front facing webcam for video chat. This device contains 1200mAh battery, FM tuner, and the Live’s TrackID integration. Sony’s apps such as the music player, picture gallery, address book, and calendar include Facebook features.
Sony Live with Walkman contains up to 6 hrs 30 min of Video playback time, up to 17 hrs 30 min of Music playback time, up to 600 hrs of standby time, and up to 14 hrs 15 min of talk time. It will be available in two colors such as black and white. It will go on sale by the end of 2011, and price of this device is not disclosed yet.
