We have had this experience that Sony has always been in limelight in whatever fields it has entered into, somehow or the other. According to the present times, it has even earned the credit of many world-famous technological gadgets which are available at present. Now, again Sony has made a bold innovative move in this field with the unveiling of the 3D laptop from its abode, the Sony Vaio 3D laptop. This is one of the earliest moves for a 3D laptop in the world, and once again it seems that Sony has earned the crown for itself.

Now, before we talk about the Sony Vaio 3D laptop, let us recollect the greatness and the enigma of one of the most famous laptop series in the world, the Sony Vaio series. The notebooks of this series have always been in the limelight and are rather evergreen in their own innovative way. The Vaio series have always maintained a distinguishable position among all other notebooks available. This fact is not just because of their unique design or style statement, but also for the combination of excellent features and cost.
And now, here comes yet another addition to this series, the Sony Vaio 3D laptop. The coming up of this innovative laptop from Sony has been announced by the company at the IFA 2011 held in Berlin. This shall be quite a great asset to the Sony Vaio series of notebooks. The prototypes of this upcoming laptop were shown, including the ability of this laptop to display a 3D video and games at a 1080p resolution.
Being accompanied by a 3D button and active shutter glasses, which is quite necessary to watch and enjoy 3D multimedia contents, the Sony Vaio 3D laptop shows a 16-inch 16:9 display and also houses in a current F series chassis. The laptop is known to be using a technology called “frame-sequential technology”, which actually enable a rapid cycle of the left and right eye views with blank screen in between for the reduction of the possibility of occurrence of what is commonly known as “crosstalk”, which actually hamper and result in a poor 3D image quality.
Sony has not provided us with any information regarding the brand of graphics chip being used by the prototype model. However, they have advised of the possibility that the final product may be different from what their protupe has shown in IFA 2011. The laptop is announced to be arriving in the early next year, but no pricing details of the laptop have been revealed as of now.
The Sony Vaio 3D laptop announcement has added to the company’s previous moves of entering the 3D market, like the Blu-ray players and Playstation 3 gaming console. But, it also seems that people are quite indifferent to the acceptance of 3D technology for viewing at the present times. Thus, the manufacturers are trying to create awareness and spread the word of enhanced viewing experience through 3D technology. Seems like the times are about to change!
