The entire world is eagerly waiting for Mobile World Congress 2012, which is the biggest mobile event to be held from 27th February to 1st March in Barcelona, Spain. This event is important for all tech giants as well as for all mobile lovers as each and every reputed manufacturer makes sure that they unveil their much anticipated products at this event. On launching some of its different and unique products in MWC, every maker wants to emerge as winner in the competitive world of mobiles. Some of the most famous names of tech industry are LG, Samsung, Nokia, ZTE, Sony, HTC, Acer and Microsoft and majority of eyes are set on them to find out their new members that will hit the market.
A greater part of MWC attendees are looking forward to get some glimpses of handsets powered by Nvidia’s quad-core Tegra 3 processor. The producer of the Tegra 3 quad-core chip, NVIDIA has confirmed that some of the major tech giants are ready to unveil their quad-core smartphones. And these next-gen phones will be available for consumers by the end of this March. According to the recent news, it is believed that there will be at least four quad-core handsets. One will be from Chinese manufacturer Huawei, one from LG, one from HTC, and another from Fujitsu. As no official announcements are made yet, we cannot be sure of these rumors.
LG Optimus 4X HD
It is strongly believed that LG will reveal the improved version of Optimus 2X, which will be named as Optimus 4X HD in MWC. It is ready to enter the market with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which will surely grab the attention of many. And the keys present below the display of the phone will give you better experience than using virtual keys in Galaxy Nexus.

As said earlier, it will be powered by Nvidia’s Tegra 3 processor with its 4-PLUS-1 architecture. Also it will be featured with an eye catching display of 4.7 inches with 1280 x 720 resolution. Other features include 16GB internal memory with 1GB of RAM, 1.3 megapixel front camera, 8 megapixel rear camera, MHL (Mobile High-definition Link) which enables up to 1080p uncompressed video output, DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) to connect all your electronic devices with each other, etc. With all these amazing features, the handset is backed up with a long living battery of 2,150mAh. The interesting fact is that in spite of being packed with all these features, it’s still only 8.9mm thick.
HTC One X
HTC will try to meet the expectation of mobile freaks by bringing a fabulous 10 inch tablet named as One X in this great event. It will run the very popular Android 4.0 Ice cream Sandwich on NVIDIA’s quadcore processor. It provides you a 4.7 inch 720p high-end display, 1GB of RAM and 32GB capacity of memory, one rear camera of 8MP to capture video at 1080p, one front facing camera to support video chatting and lots more.

According to rumors and leaked images, the HTC One X is believed to be free of capacitive buttons. At the same time HTC was in favor of capacitive hardware buttons rather than the virtual ones. The handset will come with hardware keys or virtual ones; it will be confirmed only after its official launch.
Even though Fujitsu has not revealed the name of its product, but some of its specifications came under the limelight in its press release. It will run on Android 4.0 Ice cream sandwich with NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad core processor. This quad core smartphone is also dust and water proof, which is truly an impressive feature. The handset consists of a fingerprint sensor, which is rarely seen in mobile devices.

Other features include a 4.6 inch HD display, rear facing 13.1MP camera, etc. Fujitsu claims that despite of its powerful CPU, the device is ready to provide you a long battery life. And according to rumors, Fujitsu is not ready to officially launch its product, so it will be bringing only sample units of the handset to MWC. This means to personalize this device, all have to wait for some more time.
Huawei Ascend D1 Q
Huawei is also ready to unveil its new member named as Ascend D1 Q. Huawei has kept the specifications of its handset as top secret. But with the help of some official looking images, we can make out that Ascend D1 Q will not have an impressive slim waistline. However, it will be a nice decent-looking phone with some fabulous curves and some red color details on the speaker grille and the camera unit.

It is believed that the handset will come with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor making it two times faster than the Tegra 3 devices. According to another rumor, the D1 Q could be the first quad-core global mobile to be unveiled, as the press conference by Huawei will take place in few hours before the HTC on this Sunday.
