The new Graphic tablet, Intuos5 has been launched by Wacom. This drawing tablet is more concrete than its previous generation. The outstanding feature of this tablet includes its design with new exterior technology, which makes the edges of this tablet very delicate and softer. Intuos 5 is equipped with a Grip pen to draw comfortably on the tablet. This pen is softer and easily accessible on the graphic tablet. This grip pen is an accurate and smooth writing tool along with the multi-touch motion support. It is more interesting to know that Intuos 5 is also facilitated with wireless connectivity.

The striking feature of this tablet is its Wireless connectivity, which is replaced with Bluetooth. Wacom commented that their Windows clients were inconvenient with Bluetooth option because of which they offered more efficient wireless connection in Intuos 5.

Due to the multi-touch feature of Intuos 5, user can work speedily as it is easy to rotate content, scroll, pan and zoom directly by a touch on the tablet unlike scrolling forward and backward by mouse or any other input device of PC, laptop, etc. The confusion of scrolling and hitting the target properly is ignored when pen is used on this device. Intuos 5 is also able to distinguish Mac gestures, standard Windows as well as custom gestures using software of Wacom. Wacom has focused more in inserting hotkeys as well as on the software interface. However, Intuos 5 lacks OLEDs that are added in Intuos 4.

Consequently, Wacom has presented this Graphic tablet with appreciative improvements compared to their previous generation i.e. Intuos 4. This tablet is more suitable for those who search for less-expensive and Bamboo tablets. However, the multi touch features are not clearly depicted as it is found in glass surface tablets like Magic Track pad. Intuos 5 tab comes in three sizes – small, medium and large, which costs $230, $350 and $470 respectively. Every tablet is provided with smooth input pen, a pen holder similar to ink-pot, which also has extra pen nibs and lastly with a USB cable to attach the tablet to your PC.
